Overwatch 2 Lifeweaver Guide: Story

Determined to use bio-light for the greater good, Pruksamanee assumed the identity of Lifeweaver. Explore the full story of this intriguing character with our Overwatch 2 Lifeweaver Guide.

Born as Niran Pruksamanee in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Lifeweaver was sent to work and study with Vishkar Corporation by his family. During his time there, he developed a close friendship with his roommate Symmetra. However, his disillusionment grew as Vishkar became more obsessed with using hard-light technology to create a perfect world.

After taking a break from Vishkar, Pruksamanee traveled the world and was struck by the devastation caused by conflicts such as the Omnic Crisis. He decided to return to Vishkar to create a new material called bio-light that merged nature and technology to repair the damage caused by such conflicts. However, Vishkar demanded control of the technology, but Pruksamanee refused and is now a fugitive from the company.

How to unlock Overwatch 2 Lifeweaver

When Season 4 of Overwatch 2 launches, players will have two options to unlock the new hero, Lifeweaver. The first and quickest method is to purchase the Premium Battle Pass for 1,000 Overwatch Coins (which costs around $10). This will grant you instant access to Lifeweaver, but it does require spending real money. Check out our Overwatch 2 Lifeweaver Guide for more information on how to unlock this exciting new hero.

The second method is to progress through the free track of the Season 4 Battle Pass and reach Tier 45. Players can earn XP by completing daily and weekly gameplay challenges, as well as by finishing matches. While individual tiers can be purchased using Overwatch Coins, it is more cost-effective to buy the Premium Battle Pass instead of buying each tier individually.

According to recent reports, Lifeweaver will be available for free to all players for a limited time when he launches on April 11. Additionally, a special in-game event that coincides with the Thai New Year will run until April 24. During this time, players can participate in a new Arcade mode called B.O.B. and Weave, which features Lifeweaver. By playing this mode, players can earn Lifeweaver’s Cassia skin, which is inspired by Thailand’s national flower, the Ratchaphruek.
