Leeds United vs Birmingham City predictions: Leeds United Line-up
Leeds United will look to keep hold of the second spot when they travel to St. Andrew’s to face Birmingham City on Saturday.
The Whites defeated Millwall 3-2 at home at the weekend as Marcelo Bielsa’s side took advantage of Sheffield United’s slip up to Bristol City to go second on the table.
Birmingham City, on the other hand, are in wretched run of form having lost their last five games in the Championship.
Team News
Leeds have been dealt with a blow as Barry Douglas will miss rest of the season after rupturing knee ligaments. But Kemar Roofe could be back in the squad for the trip to St. Andrews’ on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Kiko Casilla will be available for selection after serving his one-game ban against Millwall.
Probable Leeds United XI
Formation: 4-1-4-1
Manager: Marcelo Bielsa
Kiko Casilla (GK)
Casilla will return back to the starting XI after serving his one-game suspension for picking up a red card in the defeat against Sheffield United.
Luke Ayling (RB)
He scored a vital goal in the 3-2 victory and is expected to continue at right-back.
Pontus Jansson (CB)
Jansson was taken off against Millwall purely due to a tactical reason. He is in contention to start against Birmingham City.
Liam Cooper (CB)
A real leader at the back, Cooper should be aiming to keep a clean-sheet against a struggling Birmingham side.
Ezgjan Alioski (LB)
Since being switched to left-back, Alioski has done well and he should keep his place in the team.
Kalvin Phillips (CDM)
Phillips gives a lot of calmness and stability to Leeds’ midfield. His presence in the team will be crucial at the weekend as well.
Jack Harrison (LW)
Harrison has been struggling to influence games, yet he’ll be given the nod ahead of Clarke at St. Andrew’s.
Mateusz Klich (LCM)
Klich brings a lot of energy and bite to the Whites’ midfield. He should retain his place in the starting XI.
Tyler Roberts (RCM)
Roberts is an exciting talent and is always a joy to watch. He is expected to start against the Blues.
Pablo Hernandez (RW)
Delivered a Man of the match performance against Millwall at the weekend. The Spaniard has been one of Bielsa’s most trusted men and he’ll look to rip apart Birmingham’s defence as well.

Patrick Bamford (ST)
Missed a penalty, made very little movement and didn’t threaten the Millwall defence much at the weekend. Yet, Bamford is expected to lead the team’s attack at Birmingham.
