Leeds United will look to keep hold of the second spot when they travel to St. Andrew’s to face Birmingham City on Saturday.
The Whites defeated Millwall 3-2 at home at the weekend as Marcelo Bielsa’s side took advantage of Sheffield United’s slip up to Bristol City to go second on the table.
Birmingham City, on the other hand, are in wretched run of form having lost their last five games in the Championship.
Leeds have been dealt with a blow as Barry Douglas will miss rest of the season after rupturing knee ligaments. But Kemar Roofe could be back in the squad for the trip to St. Andrews’ on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Kiko Casilla will be available for selection after serving his one-game ban against Millwall.
Casilla will return back to the starting XI after serving his one-game suspension for picking up a red card in the defeat against Sheffield United.
He scored a vital goal in the 3-2 victory and is expected to continue at right-back.
Jansson was taken off against Millwall purely due to a tactical reason. He is in contention to start against Birmingham City.
A real leader at the back, Cooper should be aiming to keep a clean-sheet against a struggling Birmingham side.
Since being switched to left-back, Alioski has done well and he should keep his place in the team.
Phillips gives a lot of calmness and stability to Leeds’ midfield. His presence in the team will be crucial at the weekend as well.
Harrison has been struggling to influence games, yet he’ll be given the nod ahead of Clarke at St. Andrew’s.
Klich brings a lot of energy and bite to the Whites’ midfield. He should retain his place in the starting XI.
Roberts is an exciting talent and is always a joy to watch. He is expected to start against the Blues.
Delivered a Man of the match performance against Millwall at the weekend. The Spaniard has been one of Bielsa’s most trusted men and he’ll look to rip apart Birmingham’s defence as well.
