Patty Mills, an Australian-born professional basketball player, is a member of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. He is of Australian Aboriginal ancestry. Despite his Torres Strait Islander heritage, he was born and raised in Australia. In 2007, he became Australia’s third Indigenous basketball player to play for the national team.
Mills played college basketball for the Saint Mary’s Gaels for two years. The Portland Trail Blazers chose them with the 55th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft the player.
