Carlos Condit got a decision win over Court McGee and did a number of his rival’s nose which could be broken
Carlos Condit got back on the win column after several losses in his UFC career. The 36-year-old was on a five-fight losing streak and on the prelim card for the latest UFC Fight Night event.
Condit, who is a former interim UFC Welterweight Champion, had a tough battle against Court McGee.
However, the veteran got a unanimous win after the three rounds. McGee also didn’t come into the fight with the best of records as he had lost four out of his last five fights.
However, there was one major talking point from all this and that was the nose of McGee.
The action took place at the end of the first round as Condit got his rival. McGee was dropped hard but the round ended and his nose seemed to be pointing in another direction.
There is no news regarding how injured McGee was or if his nose had broken, but it did seem like this was an injury that is a regular feature in MMA fights.
Losing five fights in a row is never a good thing for any fighter, especially a big name like Condit.
The American had lost to some top talents in that run with Demian Maia, Michael Chiesa, Neil Magny and Robbie Lawler all picking up wins.
The 36-year-old moved to 31-13 in his MMA career and he was pleased after picking up the win. It will be interesting to see what is next for Condit, but this was a dominant performance.
As for McGee, this was his 10th MMA loss and he now holds a record of 19 wins and 10 losses. McGee is a tough fighter as all his last seven fights have gone the distance. However, he only has two wins from those seven outings.
