Russian sensation Maria Sharapova decided to try out an all-black dress at the 2020 New York Fashion Week

Maria Sharapova might not be in the best of form on the court, but off it, she is killing the style scene with a brilliant dress or two.

The 32-year-old put on a green outfit and posed with her boyfriend, Alexander Gilkes at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

The five-time Grand Slam champion is still busy in New York as she turned up the style in an all-black dress.

Sharapova was watching Vera Wang’s show and added that she was wearing a dress by the designer too.

The Russian has become a bit of a style icon in recent years and even has her own candy business called “Sugarpova”.

Sharapova is one of the few players to have won all four Grand Slams but injuries have hurt her tennis career, even though she is only 32.

However, she was knocked out early on in the Australian Open this year without even making the second round.

The Russian last won a Grand Slam in 2014, French Open, and her best result since 2016 has been reaching the quarter-final at two Slams.

Injuries have kept her away from the courts for a while and it seems her career could be coming to an end unless she gets her form back.

It will be interesting to see how Sharapova does in the remaining Grand Slams this season, but if things don’t work out, she can remain a style icon and focus on her candy line.
