Here is everything you need to know about the Pokemon Go Battle Ticket including start time, Rewards, and more.
The Pokémon Go Tour: Johto event follows the path of the Go Tour: Kanto event from last year, but this time it honors the second generation of the Johto region.
You’ll be able to capture every Pokémon from Generation 2 in Go Tour: Johto, as well as complete new research tasks and 10 Collection Challenges. However, whether you want a paid or free-to-play experience determines which elements of the event you have access to.
On Saturday, February 26th, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (local time), the main Pokémon Go Tour: Johto event will start, with in-person activities taking place in select locations on Sunday, February 27th.
Johto is separated into hourly rotating habitats, each of which focuses on a different part of the Johto region. The spawn rate of Pokémon found in a certain location will be increased during these hourly blocks.
The schedule for Go Tour: Johto can be found below, and it’s crucial to note that all of the times stated are in local time. This implies that no matter where you live, New Bark To You will always be your first region.
Ticketed players must complete a Collection Challenge for each of the rotating habitats. Even if you don’t have a Go Tour: Johto ticket, you’ll be able to take advantage of the increased Pokémon spawns that each habitat provides.
Thanks to the raids, 7km eggs obtained during the event, and shifting habitats, free-to-play trainers can still obtain as many Gen 2 Pokémon as possible. During the event, any 2km eggs you gather will hatch one of the Gen 2 baby Pokémon, including Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Togepi, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Elekid, and Magby.
Furthermore, any Lugia or Ho-Oh you catch during Go Tour: Johto will learn a new special attack: Aeroblast for Lugia and Sacred Fire for Ho-Oh. If you obtain them via evolution within event hours, a variety of Pokémon will learn their Community Day attack, which is fantastic if you’ve missed them before.
These Pokémon, as well as their special attacks, are:
Any player with a Trainer Level of 40 or higher will have a chance to get one Rare Candy XL by attending a five-star raid in person, as well as a higher chance of earning the same candy by attending a one-star or three-star raid in person. Finally, during the event, all players, ticketed or not, can perform the two timed research quests and six Special Trades.
If you buy a Go Tour: Johto ticket, though, you can choose between the Gold and Silver versions of the event, complete the Collection Challenges, unlock a new special research quest, and then a new Masterwork quest after that. You’ll also find a free bundle of three Remote Raid passes in the in-game store, and you may win nine extra Raid Passes by spinning Gyms. Finally, ticketed players can take advantage of the extra benefits like as 1/4 hatch distance, double hatch candy, and additional candy from catching special Pokémon.
To participate in the entire Pokémon Go Tour: Johto event, you must purchase a ticket for £9.99 / $11.99. PokéCoin cannot be used to purchase a ticket. To buy a ticket, go to the in-game Pokémon Go store, which can be found on the main menu of the game. Scroll down until you see the banner for the Pokémon Go Tour: Johto.
Selecting the banner will bring up further event details, and you can then select ‘Buy’ to follow the purchasing steps relevant to your phone’s app store. When you purchase a ticket, it will show in your Item Bag, and you may choose whether to play the Gold or Silver edition of the event by selecting it.
