Here is everything you need to know about the new Festival of Colors Event coming to Pokemon Go soon. Get ready to celebrate Holi!
In Pokemon GO, the Festival of Colors will be the next event to be celebrated. Holi is a Hindu festival that dates back thousands of years. It honors the “victory of good over evil.” Niantic has planned a major celebration for the event, which will take place later this month.
Niantic announced the Season of Alola on February 28, just in time for it to launch on March 1 in-game. It all started with ‘A Melemele Adventure,’ a unique research task that allowed trainers to meet Gumshoos and get access to five-star raids with Tapu Koko.
The Festival of Colors will begin on Tuesday, March 15 and conclude on Sunday, March 20. The Festival of Colors will also be held for the first time on a global scale.
Niantic did host a Festival of Colors event in 2021, but it was limited to South Asia. Bulbasaur, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff were among the colorful Pokemon that spawned in the wild for the event.
People all across the world will be greeted with two rewards as soon as the event begins.
Niantic will also release new avatar accessories to celebrate with a splash of color in addition to the gameplay benefits. Everyone will be able to use these items for free.
In addition, there will be a separate event for Pokémon GO users in India. Trainers in India will have access to the following from Friday, March 18th, 2022 at 10 a.m. through Sunday, March 20th, 2022 at 10 a.m.:
India Regional Challenge: In a Regional Challenge, all Indian trainers would be able to collaborate. All Trainers in India will receive a 2x Catch Candy bonus for the remainder of the event if they have caught over 2 million Pokémon.
Trainers in India will be able to purchase a festive box for 125 PokéCoins that includes a Lucky Egg, a Lure Module, a Rainy Lure Module, and a Mossy Lure Module.
Throughout the event, all four versions of Oricorio will be accessible as regional Pokemon.
