Here is our Tier list for the Kanto Cup in Pokemon Go. Find out the strongest Pokemon from the first generation here!
It’s time to travel back in time to the Kanto Cup’s first generation of Pokémon. Trainers can only utilize Pokémon from the Kanto region in it, which means the game’s initial 151 Pokémon. There are a few rules in this league, such as no Pokémon with more than 1,500 CP, but you can enter as long as you have one of the original Pokémon. The Kanto Cup will be held from November 9 to November 22. You can employ these best teams to push ahead of the competition in the Kanto Cup meta.
Each Pokemon will have a different role in your team It is important that you balance out your team with a Pokemon for each role. Since the opposing Pokemon will have a specific weakness, you will need pokemon that can cover most of the common Pokemon. You should also have a strong Pokemon that can deal huge amounts of damage. With all these aspects in mind, here is our Kanto Cup Tier List for Pokemon Go.
Kanto Cup Tier List
Main Pokemon Tier List
In the Kanto Cup, these are some of the best primary Pokémon you may utilize. A lead Pokémon is the first in your line, and it’s usually a tank or a big Pokémon with good defenses and stamina. These are the Pokémon you’ll want to use in long battles. The ones in categories C and D aren’t the worst, but they have more useful responsibilities in the Kanto Cup. You should use a Pokémon like Lickitung or Snorlax, which have excellent defense and stamina. These are both Normal-type Pokémon that can only be defeated by Fighting-type Pokémon.
Tier | Pokémon |
S | Lickitung, Hypno, Nidoqueen, Snorlax, Chansey, and Alolan Muk |
A | Lapras, Alolan Ninetales, Beedrill, Dewgong, Alolan Sandslash, and Dragonair |
B | Ninetales, Alolan Raticate, Golbat, Articuno, Tentacruel, and Magneton |
C | Venusaur, Gyarados, Haunter, Clefable, Machamp, and Alolan Golem |
D | Poliwhirl, Pidgeot, Vileplume, Gyarados, Blastoise, and Gloom |
Secondary Pokemon Tier List
In Pokémon Go, these Pokémon are the safe bets. They don’t have many flaws, and when you utilize them in combat, you can almost always count on them to win. When an opponent tries to counter your first Pokémon, the majority of the Pokémon on this list or fitting this function in your Pokémon Go team should be a reliable backup. To avoid your lead Pokémon taking too much damage, you should switch to these Pokémon as soon as possible during the battle. Although the lead will be large, a secondary Pokémon will be able to counter or protect against it.
Tier | Pokémon |
S | Nidoqueen, Hypno, Lapras, Beedrill, Raichu, and Alolan Marowak |
A | Gengar, Gyarados, Alolan Muk, Dewgong, Charizard, and Venusaur |
B | Golbat, Zapdos, Electrode, Wigglytuff, Grimer, and Poliwhirl |
C | Omastar, Galarian Rapidash, Clefable, Vaporeon, and Kingler |
D | Machamp, Aerodactyl, Omastar, Gengar, Ivysaur, and Seaking |
Final Pokemon Tier List
These are the Pokémon you should utilize as your last resort on your roster. They’ll be your last line of defense, and they should be able to hold out long enough for you to win the battle. You want your final Pokémon to be a sure bet to win the majority of the battles you utilize it in. Because it’s the last option in your lineup, you’ll want to wait as long as possible before employing it unless you have no other options. The last options in this category aren’t bad, but they aren’t as good as those in the S, A, and B tiers.
Tier | Pokémon |
S | Machamp, Mewtwo, Chansey, Venusaur (Shadow), Pidgeot, and Raichu |
