Pokemon Go Lush Jungle Event – Everything you should know

We have a new event with many new tasks and rewards in Pokemon Go. Here is everything you need to know about the Pokemon Go Lush Jungle Event.

The jungles of Akala Island are the focus of Pokémon Go’s third Alola-themed event. Trainers are being rewarded with new Special Research, Timed Research, and even newly released Pokemon spawns as the three-month-long Season of Alola progresses in Pokemon Go.

The Lush Jungle Timed Research activities are available alongside the current Special Research quest, An Akala Adventure. Players will be able to encounter wild Pokemon, earn XP, and even obtain a few unique berries by completing these activities.

Pokemon Go Lush Jungle Timed Research

The steps, tasks, and prizes for the Lush Jungle Timed Research tasks in Pokemon Go are listed below. Because this is a timed research quest, you must finish it before Tuesday, March 29th, or you will miss out on your chance to receive these rewards.

Step 1

  • Walk 1 km – 10 Poke Balls
  • Catch 10 Pokemon – 5 Razz Barries
  • Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon – 5 Pinap Berries

Rewards: Cherrim Encounter, Nanab Berries, and 500 XP

Step 2

  • Walk 1 km – 10 Poke Balls
  • Catch 5 Grass-type Pokemon – Chikorita Encounter
  • Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokemon – 5 Pinap Berries

Rewards: Gloom Encounter, 5 Razz Berries, and 1000 XP

Step 3

  • Walk 1 km – 10 Poke Balls
  • Catch 10 Grass-type Pokemon – Foongus Encounter
  • Use 15 Berries to help catch wild Pokemon – Bellsprout Encounter

Rewards: Paras Encounter, 5 Pinap Berries, and 1500 XP

Pokemon Go Lush Jungle Wild Pokemon

The following Pokemon will spawn more frequently in the wild:

  • Metapod
  • Paras
  • Exeggcute
  • Pinsir
  • Hoothoot
  • Sudowoodo
  • Ferroseed
  • Fomantis

As part of the Lush Jungle event, Shiny Cottonee was also made available. So keep an eye out for this new shiny version!

Pokemon Go Lush Jungle Raids

The Raids in Pokemon Go will be changed during the Lush Jungle event. Tapu Lele, the second Tapu to make an appearance in Pokemon Go, will be available in Five-Star Raids, while Mega Charizard Y will be available in Mega Raids. During the Lush Jungle event, here’s a list of all the Raids and which Pokemon will feature in each tier.

  • 1 Star Raids: Bellsprout, Tangela, Sewaddle, Cottonee
  • 3 Star Raids: Butterfree, Vileplume, Parasect, Exeggutor
  • 5 Star Raids: Tapu Lele
  • Mega Raids: Mega Charizard Y
