Pokemon Go has announced a few changes in the Remote Raid pass items that have got the community torn. Here is everything to know about it.
In a recent block post by Pokemon go Niantic has highlighted some changes that will be brought to remote raid pass items. These passes let people access a Raid without physically being around the gym when it is conducted in the game.
For the past few weeks, there have been many controversies around the Raid passes and the concept of remote raiding in general. According to the block post released by the gaming platform, Niantic appears to be moving ahead with the facing out of Remote Raid passes in Pokemon go.
The most recent blog post from Niantic revealed that some changes would be made to the remote raid permits, which has been criticized by Pokémon fans

Pokemon GO Remote Raid Pass – New Pass Details
Niantic will roll out the changes in Remote Raid Passes changes on April 06, 2023. These changes will be going forward unless new changes will be added in the future.
The total price of remote raid passes has increased both in bulk and in single passes. There has also been a strict limit placed on the number of remote rates that can be used per day.
On the good side, Niantic has also given the community And advantage by Adding a new way to on remote raid passes. The limit on the permissible remote rates per day can still increase during special events.
Pokemon GO Remote Raid Pass – Changes
Here is a list of all changes in Pokemon Go Remote Raid Passes:
- Remote Raid pass 3 packs now would cost you 525 Pokecoins.
- A single Remote Raids pass price has been increased to 195 Pokecoins
- Trainers can now participate in up to 5 remote raids per day
- Remote Raid pass Can now be added to the pool of potential rewards upon completing research breakthroughs.
- Following this change, the maximum inventory restriction of 3 remote raid passes per user will still apply to the passes.
- If a player completes the research breakthrough and has already reached their maximum amount of allotted Remote Passes limit they will receive a premium battle pass.
Bonus Rewards
In addition to these changes, another perk would be that the Pokemon Go players who will participate in in-person 5-star Raids will also receive more excel candy than the ones who enter these raids remotely. All of these changes would continue to occur unless new changes would be introduced later in the future.
Despite the numerous blocks that these new changes have to offer the community and suggestions have not been very impressed with these changes as it gives more importance to the in-person raids. Niantic appears to be moving ahead with minimizing remote reading in general which has led to account traverse among the community players.
Many fans are wondering if these conditions change apply to remote locations and also if there are any time constraints to the inability of participating in in-person raids.
