In the Season of Light, stars litter the sky and a number of Pokemon evolve using Evolution Items and Special Research, preparing players for the arrival of Solgaleo and Lunala near the season’s end in November. Players will be able to evolve their Cosmog for the first time if they have completed the earlier parts of the Special Research story.
It will run from Oct. 5 to 11, and Cosmoem will be the only new Pokemon introduced, appearing exclusively in Special Research. There are also more encounters involving stones or other items, such as Seadra, Scyther, and others.
Also, during the event, a new set of Collection Challenges are available, where you can pick up some of those special items used to evolve Eevee and other Pokemon. One of the challenges is the Pokemon Unova Challenge. So how to complete it and what are the rewards, let’s find out everything in this article below.
Pokemon GO Unova Challenge
During Pokémon Go’s Evolving Stars event, the Unova Challenge was released as the last of four Collection Challenges. To earn the rewards for the Unova Challenge, you must complete it before 8 pm on Tuesday, 11th October (local time). The challenge revolves around getting two Pokemon that require the Unova Stone for evolution, but you don’t need one to do it.
It’s important to note that you need to evolve these Pokemon in order to complete this challenge. Thanks to the Evolving Stars event, their first stage evolutions, such as Litwick, have an increased spawn rate, so they’re much easier to find during the challenge.
How to Complete Pokemon GO Unova Challenge
Here is what you need to do to complete the Pokemon GO Unova Challenge:
- Elektrik – Evolve Tynamo using 25 Tynamo Candy
- Lampent – Evolve Litwick using 25 Litwick Candy
Reward: Two Unova Stones.
