Popular Web-series Squid Game has again created history as it becomes the first foreign language show to be nominated for the Emmys
Popular Netflix show Squid Game is again in the news as it recently created history by becoming the first foreign language show to be nominated for Best Drama in Emmys 2022.
Squid Game has bagged 14 nominations for Emmy 2022 including the first non-English language series to be nominated for the best drama. However, it will be battling out against some of the other popular shows like Better Call Saul, Euphoria, Ozark, Severance, Stranger Things, Succession, and Yellowjackets.
The Series actors have also been nominated for various awards. As Lee Jung Jae is in running for Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Jung Ho Yeon has been nominated for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Park Hae Soo and Oh Young Soo have been nominated for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Lee Yoo Mi is also up for the Guest Actress nominations in the Drama Series.
Recently it was announced that Squid Game which was released in 2021 created record-breaking numbers is coming up again with a season 2. t became the most-watched Netflix original worldwide for Netflix.
Netflix officially announced Season 2 in January. On June 12 the streaming platform dropped a very short teaser featuring animation of the animatronic doll that figured heavily in the show’s maiden season.
“Red light GREENLIGHT (sic)” was the caption written with the doll’s one eye flashing the number two.
Hwang Dong-Hyuk who is the creator of Squid also gave a message to the fans about the new season.
