Predicted Arsenal XI to face Southampton in the FA Cup

Arsenal will encounter Southampton in the 4th round of the FA Cup on Saturday. The Gunners have enjoyed a good run of form over the last few games. They have four wins from their last five games, which included a stoppage-time win over Newcastle in the last round.

Southampton aren’t in bad form either, as they have proved to be tough opponents this season. They have encountered just one loss in their last five games. Both sides look good going into the fixture and a cracking game could be on the cards.

Team News

There are one or two players who are very likely to miss this game. Pablo Mari will consider himself unlucky to have suffered another injury after a brief spell in the team. There remain doubts over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dani Ceballos due to injuries. Some of the fringe players could be brought into the mix.

Probable Arsenal XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Bernd Leno (GK)

With Alex Runarsson having a torrid time, Bernd Leno can be expected to man the posts for now.

Kieran Tierney (LB)

Has been solid in his position through the season and has adjusted well to any positional changes. Has shown real intent during this time.

Calum Chambers (CB)

Forgotten man Calum Chambers could be thrust into the mix in order to rotate the squad.

Gabriel Magalhaes (CB)

The Brazilian could finally return to action after a long time and it could be some good news for Arteta.

Cedric has been trusted to play through quite a few games this season and that could continue.

Willian (AM)
