Predicted Chelsea XI to face Manchester City in the Premier League

Chelsea will be awaiting Manchester City at the Stamford Bridge as they look to make it two in two and move closer to securing a Champions League finish.

Chelsea won 2-1 over Aston Villa after goals from Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud. The team is currently 4th in the table and will be looking to create a larger gap between them and Manchester United.

Team News

Callum Hudson-Odoi is a doubtful starter as it is not sure if the winger has fully recovered from his ankle injury. The Blues are also set to miss Fikayo Tomori as well as long-term absentee Marco Van Ginkel.

Predicted Chelsea XI

Formation 4-3-3

Kepa Arrizabalanga (GK)

First-choice goalkeeper Kepa is very likely to don the gloves as Chelsea face Manchester City. The Spaniard will look to keep a clean sheet but that will not be easy.

Reece James (RB)

The youngster has shown a lot of promise and will most likely start at right-back.

Antonio Rudiger (CB)

The German international will retain his place in the heart of the defence and there’s no doubt.

Kurt Zouma (CB)

Zouma is likely to partner Rudiger in the defence.

Cesar Azpilicueta (LB)

The skipper should start at left-back. Alonso is likely to be benched to make way for Azpilicueta.

Mateo Kovacic (CM)

The player has put up a very good performance this season and will look to build on it next season.

Mason Mount (RW)

The 21-year-old has established himself in the first-team. The player has shown his creative abilities and will once again look to win the manager’s heart.

Pulisic (LW)

The USA international has been on and off in the side. The youngster should get this opportunity in place of Willian and will look to make the most of it.

Tammy Abraham (ST)

Tammy Abraham is Chelsea’s best bet for this role right now. Chelsea will look to rotate their squad and rest senior striker Olivier Giroud. The English international has scored 15 goals so far for Chelsea and will be looking to add to the list.
