Predicted West Ham XI to face Manchester United in the Premier League

West Ham welcome Manchester United during the weekend for a Premier League fixture on Saturday. The Hammers are in good form ahead of this home game with three wins in their last three.

Manchester United were also in good form but will have to pick themselves up from a loss against PSG in their last game. It could be a very unpredictable game given how both these teams have fared this season.

Team News

West Ham won’t have to worry about a lot of injuries with pretty much the entire squad being fit. Only Andriy Yarmolenko is a doubt after testing COVID positive last month. There is also the fitness of Michail Antonio to look at, who could be given some rest by David Moyes.

Probable West Ham XI

Formation: 3-4-3

Lucas Fabianski (GK)

The Pole keeps his place between the sticks as he has been a very reliable man for them.

Aaron Cresswell (CB)

Looking at ease in his new left-sided centre-back role.

Angelo Ogbonna (CB)

Bagged a goal in the last game and an overall good defensive showing ensures he stays in central defence. Likely to have his hands full with an in-form Edinson Cavani.

Fabian Balbuena (CB)

Balbuena has done well since being reintegrated into the team and will be hoping to continue on his good showings.

Vladimir Coufal (RWB)

The new recruit looks right at home. Might face another difficult game similar to the one he did against Villa.

Arthur Masuaku (LWB)

Has been given more freedom as a wingback and is making good use of it too. Will be hoping for more than the 45 minutes afforded last time.

Declan Rice (CM)

Having another good season, the star man will be tasked with keeping Bruno Fernandes at bay.

Thomas Soucek (CM)

Remains an important cog in Moyes’ side with his constant running and pressing.

Pablo Fornals (LW)

Will be hoping for a better showing but will have to get past the impenetrable Wan-Bissaka.

Jarrod Bowen (RW)

Bowen remains one of West Ham’s best forwards. A constant menace down the right, he will be the chief threat for Manchester United.

Sebastien Haller (ST)

Should get the start with doubts over Antonio’s fitness. Finally rediscovering some form. Will be raring to go against a shaky Man United backline.
