The 2021/22 race for the top four went to the wire, and Tottenham beat Arsenal to the fourth-place finish. This season a lot has happened, making it more challenging to predict the teams that will finish in the top four. Nonetheless, the recent form might have given  fans a preview of which team has what it takes to finish in the top four. In this regard, who are the current EPL top four?

Manchester City

Manchester City look very strong this season. The addition of Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, and Kalvin Philips bolstered a squad that was already strong. If Haaland continues pumping in the goals the way he has been doing, no EPL team can finish on top of Manchester City.

Additionally, Phil Foden is also having one of the best seasons of his career. That, coupled with the evergreen Kevin DeBruyne, Bernardo Silva, and Ikay Gundogan commanding the midfield, Pep Guardiola’s men are the top team in the EPL right now.

Arsenal

At the beginning of the season, many betting fans on Betway suggested that Arsenal would be outside the top four. However, Arsenal have exceeded everyone’s expectations and are currently on top of the EPL table. The youthful team that Arteta has assembled is blowing teams away with ease.

The addition of Gabriel Jesus has seen him create a fierce partnership with Martinelli and Saka. Their recent win over Liverpool was a statement that they mean business. It also means that Liverpool might not make it to this season’s top four.

Tottenham

Antonio Conte’s men have not been kidding around ever since they confirmed their Champions League spot. They strengthened the squad significantly in the summer with the addition of Ivan Perisic, Richarlison, Bissouma, and Spence. This means Conte has a strong squad that is capable of competing at the highest levels.

Besides Arsenal and City, who are flying high now, Tottenham are the third-strongest team in the EPL. However, their performances have not been very convincing when faced with real tests. For instance, they were beaten convincingly by Arsenal in the London derby.

Chelsea

Todd Boehly has promised to take Chelsea to the next level. They did not have the best of summers. Still, they strengthened their squad significantly with the addition of Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling, Denis Zakaria, Wesley Fofana, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Chelsea also got a new exciting manager Graham Potter. Everything seems to have fallen in place quickly as the new manager is unbeaten in all competitions. Chelsea might even beat Tottenham to the third spot if they continue improving.

Outside Chance

Two of the fiercest English rivals, Liverpool and Manchester United, are having a unique season. Liverpool are struggling with injuries while some of their top performers are out of form. However, Klopp is known for his capability to turn things around. Should he succeed, he has a squad capable of rising to the second position.

On the other hand, Manchester United and Erik ten Hag are still trying to find their rhythm, and most betting fans on Betway don’t know what to expect from the team.

If they don’t find consistency, Newcastle looks like a team capable of finishing in the top four and might be best placed to replace any of the current top-four teams should they stumble.
