The PUBG Global Series (PGS) coming back for its fourth run exudes energy. The PUBG Global Series 4 will kick off in Shanghai, China, from June 3rd to June 9th. This week-long event will see the top 24 teams battling it out for a whopping $300,000 prize pool and essential PGS points.
The format of PGS 4 remains consistent with previous iterations. Whether you’re a veteran follower or a newcomer, here’s a breakdown of what to expect.
The Group Stage is the first hurdle teams must overcome. Divided into three groups (A, B, & C), the teams will compete over three days:
Each day will feature six intense matches. The top 16 teams from this stage will advance to the Final Stage, while the bottom 8 will face elimination.
The last sixteen teams will square off in the Final Stage following a day off. There are six matches every day in this critical phase, which lasts three days The PUBG Global Series 4 victors will be the squad who ranks highest at the end of these games.
Four maps will be used for the competition; Erangel and Miramar will be the main battlefields. Every day will also include a round on Taego and Vikendi to provide variation and challenge the teams’ flexibility.
The tournament features a mix of 10 Global Partner teams and 14 top teams from previous tournaments. Here’s a closer look at the line-up:
Group stage placements are based on the results of PGS 3, using the ‘Snake Draft’ placement methodology. This ensures a balanced and competitive distribution of teams across the groups.
