Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is arguably the biggest Indian badminton star of this generation. She is the first Indian woman to win a silver medal at the Olympics and gold at the BWF World Championships. She is ranked No. 7 in the World and is India’s biggest hope of a Gold at Tokyo 2020.

PV Sindhu was raised in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh to parents who played volleyball at the national level, with her father PV Ramana winning the bronze medal at the 1986 Seoul Asian Games. She also has an elder sister P.V. Divya.
Sindhu began training at 8 at the Railway Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications in Secundarabad. After the passing of her first coach, she joined forces with P. Gopichand who elevated her career remarkably.
