Here’s a look at our preview of the Queen’s Club Championship 2022 final between Matteo Berrettini vs Filip Krajinovic which will take place on Sunday, June 19th.
Matteo Berrettini will be looking to defend his crown after making it to the finals once again at the Cinch Championships this year. The Italian beat Dan Evans in the opening round and then got past Denis Kudla in the round of 16. He then managed to beat Tommy Paul in the quarterfinal to set up a clash against Botic van de Zandschulp in the semis. However, the Dutchman was no match for Berrettini, who beat him in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the final.
On the other hand, Filip Krajinovic stunned Marin Cilic in the semifinals, beating the Croatian in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. The Serbian began his tournament with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Jenson Brooksby before getting past Sam Querrey 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the second round and Britain’s Ryan Peniston 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinal. He will now face a stern test against Berrettini, who has won 19 of his last 20 matches on grass courts, in the final.
