Here’s a look at the Queen’s Club Championships 2022 semifinal match preview between Matteo Berrettini vs Botic van de Zandschulp which takes place on Saturday, June 18th.
Queen’s Club Championships 2022: Matteo Berrettini’s tournament so far
Matteo Berrettini looked in sublime form as he beat Tommy Paul in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Italian has looked sharp since returning from injury and looks on course to go all the way at the English tournament. Berrettini did have a bit of a stutter in his game against Denis Kudla as he lost the first set, but he fought back to seal a three-set win after he had beaten Dan Evans in straight sets in the opening round.
Queen’s Club Championships 2022: Botic van de Zandschulp’s tournament so far
On the other hand, Botic Van de Zandschulp also looked in good touch as he beat Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the quarterfinal in the quarterfinals. The Dutchman kicked off his tournament by needing three sets to beat Britain’s Paul Jubb in the opening round which was a tough contest. The 26-year-old, however, only seemed to get better in the Round of 16, knocking out Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets.

Head to Head and Predictions
Berrettini holds a 1-0 advantage in the H2H over Van de Zandschlup, having beaten the Dutch star in their match at the Wimbledon last year.
Although both these players have looked in good knick over the past few days, our prediction is a win for Berrettini because he is in red-hot form at the moment and already knows how to get the job done against his Dutch opponent.
