Ronnie Aaron Killings better known as R-Truth is one of the most hilarious and loved characters in WWE. Since the time Mick Foley revealed the 24/7 title, Truth took it upon himself to make the championship chase interesting and funny at the same time.
In this article, we will take a look at 5 of R-Truth’s funniest moments in WWE.
5. R-Truth’s promo for the Money in the Bank match that he wasn’t a part of
Before the 2015 Money in the Bank pay-per-view, on an episode of RAW, the competitors in the MITB match were coming out one by one to boast of how they were going to win the briefcase.
After Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler entered one by one and cut their promos, Truth came out to the ring. He starts with his promo by saying he is not afraid of ladders and will win the briefcase. Corporate Kane, who was present at ringside looked shocked as R-Truth wasn’t even in the match. Kane informed him the same.
A disappointed Truth took the blame on himself saying: “This one’s on me, my bad!” Roman Reigns couldn’t hold back his laughter as Kane’s frustrated expressions were on point.
4. R-Truth wrongly announces Paige as the “Diva of the year”
R-Truth announced Paige’s name as the winner of the Slammy Award for the “Diva of the year” and both superstars hugged each other but before Paige could start her speech, Truth interrupted saying he made a mistake.
He revealed to Paige that she was the runner-up. Paige was irate and Truth’s expressions were absolutely on point. Nikki Bella was the “Diva of the Year” in 2015.
This was a parody of Steve Harvey, who had announced the wrong contestant as the “Miss Universe” and this moment endured a lot of controversies. WWE capitalized on the incident with Truth at his humorous best.
3. R-Truth wins the WWE 24/7 Championship in mid-flight
R-Truth has either held the 24/7 title or has been chasing it since its inception. In 2019, Jinder Mahal had won the title and was carrying it on the plane.
R-Truth sneaked in with a referee in tow and covered a sleeping Mahal to win back the title much to the chagrin of the Modern Day Maharaja. This segment was extraordinarily unique and Truth would feature in many such hilarious instances involving the WWE 24/7 Championship.
2. R-Truth doesn’t want to take a trip to Sioux Falls City
On January 13, 2020, episode of RAW, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman came to the ring to promote the former’s appearance in the forthcoming men’s Royal Rumble match.
R-Truth made his entrance and walked out to the ring to announce himself in the match as well. Truth admitted that he was the underdog going into the match as his opponent was bigger than him. However, Truth wasn’t talking about the Beast Incarnate. He thought Heyman was entering the Rumble match.
After getting to know that it was Lesnar and not Heyman who would participate in the match, Truth said he didn’t want to take a trip to Sioux Falls City and removed himself from the match. Even the heel Lesnar was in splits after witnessing Truth’s antics firsthand.
1. Royal Rumble or Money in the Bank?
This has to go down as one of the funniest moments in the history of WWE. During the 2016 men’s Royal Rumble match, Truth entered at number 12. While the other wrestlers were busy trying to throw each other over the ropes, Truth brought out a ladder from underneath the ring and set it up in the middle of the squared circle.
After climbing the ladder, Truth raised his hand attempting to retrieve the Money in the Bank briefcase but he had forgotten that it was a Royal Rumble match and not a MITB ladder match. After Truth realized his mistake, Kane tossed him over the ropes to eliminate him.
