Rafael Nadal doesn’t believe a lot has changed in his game
Rafael Nadal spoke about the changes in his game after his first-round win against Bolivian Hugo Dellien at the ongoing Australian Open.
The World No.1, who cruised into the second round after a 6-2, 6-3, 6-0 comfortable win over Dellien, was replying to questions posed by journalists during a post-match press conference.
When asked by a reporter as to what had changed in his game, the Spaniard was of the opinion that nothing significant had changed so far.
He also went on to add that as a professional the only thing he could expect to do was to work on the things he needed to work on the competition.
“I don’t know. Probably everything. It is difficult to say,” was the initial reply by the 19-time Grand Slam winner.
Not enough time to change things
Nadal, who has to date won only one Australian Open title added that you can expect new things in a player’s game when the person gets ample time to practice and develop.
“I don’t think anything changed significantly in the last year. I don’t consider it even as last year or this year. I have been playing continuously and it has been a straight season. So, nothing significant,”
“Before 2017 season I had 2-3 months’ time to work and when you have plenty of time to work you can expect new things or some new improvements,” the tennis ace continued.
He wrapped off by saying that he hoped to work on some specific things which he had to do.

Meanwhile, Delbonis had overcome a challenge from Portuguese Joao Sousa, whom he defeated 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 to set up a match against the experienced Nadal.
