Manchester City vs Fulham predictions: Manchester City Line-up

Manchester City travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham as Pep Guardiola will be hoping to get another victory on the road.

The Cityzens are two points behind table-toppers Liverpool entering this one, but they do have a game in hand on the Reds. But victory this weekend might only be enough to lift them top for a temporary spell with Liverpool playing Tottenham on Sunday.

Fulham, meanwhile, are sitting 19th in the table and are certainly destined to get relegated.

Team News

Guardiola has received a quadruple injury boost as Kevin De Bruyne, Benjamin Mendy, Fernandinho and John Stones have all trained this week.

Skipper Vincent Kompany has missed the last two games with a muscular problem and is ruled out for the weekend fixture as well.

Probable Manchester City XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Pep Guardiola

Ederson (GK)

Ederson is City’s undisputed no.1 and should start at Craven Cottage.

Kyle Walker (RB)

One of the best right-backs in the Premier League, Walker has nailed down his place in the team. He is a certain starter on Saturday.

John Stones (CB)

Stones will be fit to face Fulham and that itself is a huge boost for Guardiola and company. He will start alongside Laporte in central defence.

Aymeric Laporte (CB)

Laporte has been a rock at the back for Manchester City this season and will retain his place in the starting XI.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB)

Zinchenko has deputised admirably well in Benjamin Mendy’s absence and should continue doing the good job at left-back.

Ilkay Gundogan (CDM)

Although Fernandinho has trained with the team, Guardiola won’t risk the Brazilian from the start of the game. That means Gundogan will start in a deeper role against Fulham.

David Silva (LCM)

Silva has been a key player in Guardiola’s side due to his creativity and vision to split open defences.

Bernardo Silva (RCM)

One of the first names on the team sheet, the Portuguese has been one of the top three players for City this season. The twinkle-footed Silva is very crucial for Guardiola.

Riyad Mahrez (RW)

Despite not being at his sublime best over the last few weeks, Mahrez could be a given a chance to prove himself against a relegation-threatened Fulham.

Raheem Sterling (LW)

Sterling has been in sparking form for club and country of late and he’ll look to torment the Cottagers’ backline on Saturday.
