Rangers predicted XI to face Livingston FC in Scottish Premiership
Steven Gerrard’s Rangers will travel to Tony Macaroni Arena on Sunday to face Livingston FC in a Scottish Premiership encounter.
The Gers have been in sensational form in the league so far, winning all three of their opening three fixtures without conceding a goal. They are on top of the league standings and a win will ensure them the top spot for another week, which could be crucial in their quest for the title.
On the other hand, Gary Holt’s men would be aiming for their first win in the new campaign and will not make it easy for the Gers.
Team News
Jermain Defoe and Nikola Katic are the only two injured players in the squad and they will be absent on Sunday.
Probable Rangers XI
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Jon McLaughlin (GK)
The 32-year-old has been brilliant in the last two games. He is expected to retain his spot and would be hoping to extend his good run of form.
James Tavernier (RB)
Tavernier will be leading the line but he hasn’t been threatening enough while moving forward. He needs to deliver the crosses for the attackers and help them score.
Connor Goldson (CB)
The Englishman was brilliant in the last outing and is one of their best defenders. He should help his side keep another clean sheet on Sunday.
Leon Balogun (CB)
The Nigerian was in devastating form despite playing only for 45 minutes against St. Johnstone. He should return to the starting XI in time after he was substituted for precautionary measures.
Borna Barisic (LB)
The Croatian international has been one of the best players in the squad. He was involved in two of the three goals Rangers scored in the last outing and will be expected to continue with the good form.
Ryan Jack (CM)
The 28-year-old is a vital member in the Gers midfield and will be an undoubted starter. He will be key in taking command of the game.
Glen Kamara (CM)
The defensive midfielder did a decent job against St. Johnstone but is capable of doing better. He should be able to break the flow of the opponents on Sunday and help the backline.
Joe Aribo (AM)
After a poor show against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League, Aribo was at the top of his game in the recent fixture. He will retain his spot and should be able to create a lot of opportunities for his teammates.
Ryan Kent (LW)
Kent has established himself as a key figure under Gerrard. He will be an undoubted starter and should be able to get himself involved in the goals.
Ianis Hagi (RW)
The Romanian needs to be consistent and claim the spot for himself with some impressive performances.
Alfredo Morelos (ST)
Morelos will be the lone striker up front and should manage to get his name on the score sheet.
