Predicted Fulham XI to face Leicester City in the Premier League

Fulham made a good start to life under Claudio Ranieri with a 3-2 win over Southampton but a 2-0 loss against Chelsea in the west London derby derailed their campaign once again.

Claudio Ranieri’s men currently sit bottom of the table in the relegation zone with only a couple of wins so far in the Premier League and the Cottagers will be desperate to get at least a point when they play host to Leicester City on Wednesday night.

Leicester climbed up to 8th in the standings with a 2-0 win against Watford on Saturday and Claude Puel’s men will be looking to continue their impressive run.

Team News

Kevin McDonald is struggling with a hamstring injury and is unlikely to feature in the mid-week clash while Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa will be pushing for a return. Andre Schurrle did not play in the last game and is ruled out for this one as well.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Claudio Ranieri

Predicted XI

1. Sergio Rico (GK)

The Spaniard has been in fine form between the sticks in recent weeks and made a couple of good saves against Chelsea.

2. Cyrus Christie (RB)

He has shown some improvement in his defensive game and he will have his work cut out against Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray.

3. Denis Odoi (CB)

He put in a decent shift at the back against Chelsea and should be amongst the starters for this one.

4. Alfie Mawson (CB)

He has been a bit inconsistent in the heart of the defence this season and Fulham would need him to be at the top of his game to keep Leicester at bay.

5. Maxime Le Marchand (LB)

The Frenchman has done reasonably well in the last couple of games and Ranieri should continue to rely on him.

6. Calum Chambers (CDM)

The former Arsenal man looked comfortable in possession and played some really good passes against Chelsea.

7. Jean Michael Seri (CDM)

The Ivorian was a liability in the previous game as he lost the ball way too easily to gift Chelsea a goal. He will need to put in an improved performance if he is to keep his place in the team.

8. Tom Cairney (CAM)

He was once again at the centre of proceedings against Chelsea, linking up the play in the final third and created a few chances.

9. Aboubakar Kamara (RW)

He came on as a substitute in the last game and looked to threaten the opposition with his pace and strength.

10. Ryan Sessegnon (LW)

The 18-year-old has been one of the bright sparks in Fulham’s otherwise lacklustre campaign so far and the Cottagers will need him to do something extraordinary to propel them to victory.

11. Aleksandar Mitrovic (ST)

The Serb had a quiet game against Chelsea after scoring a brace against Southampton and he will need to fire on all cylinders if Fulham are to pinch a point on Wednesday.
