Manish Pandey has been in the news for a couple of different reasons. The Karnataka star first helped his team win the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019 by beating Tamil Nadu by one run.
The India star scored 60 in that match and even had a huge six to highlight.
Pandey then spoke about his next big series after the match as he confirmed his marriage was on the next day with actress Ashrita Shetty.
The 30-year-old certainly seems to have enjoyed the festivities, however, he missed inviting one teammate of his.
Rashid Khan is one of the best bowlers in the short format of the game. The Afghanistan star has been excellent in the IPL and partnered Pandey last season for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The 21-year-old wished his teammate well for the future but questioned why he wasn’t invited to the marriage.
It seems to be all fun and games though as Khan called Pandey his “brother” and “Raja”. The Afghan spinner also wished the couple a “lifetime of happiness together”.
It will be interesting to see how Khan and Pandey do in the upcoming season of the IPL.
The pair should be in good form, especially Pandey, and both are still in the Hyderabad side.
There is an auction to be placed later in December, but the major changes are to be done ahead of the 2021 season.
Pandey and Khan could play star knocks for the Sunrisers next year, and there could be more banter between the pair regarding the missed invitation too.
