UFC 292 features a title rematch between Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley in the main event.
Sterling started his wrestling career at Uniondale High School in 2004. Sterling failed to keep up with his grades to reach Division 1 wrestling and ended up opting to enrol at Morrisville State College. Sterling transferred to Cortland and eventually became a two-time NCAA Division III All-American. He had an overall record of 87–27.
He entered the UFC as a former Cage Fury bantamweight champion, and made his debut at UFC 170 against Cody Gibson.
He won four consecutive fights before losing to Bryan Caraway. Sterling has notable wins over Cory Sandhagen, Pedro Munhoz, Jimmie Rivera, Henry Cejudo. Aljamain Sterling got his nickname from his unorthodox wrestling style way back during his wrestling days.

Cruz is an American beauty fitness expert. Her Instagram account is followed by over 5000 people, and she usually posts about fashion tips and is the biggest cheerleader in Funkmaster’s career.
The pair has been together for more than 11 years, and Sterling officially proposed to his long-time sweetheart on 15th February 2021 a day after Valentine’s Day. They have been engaged since then, and will probably tie the knot soon. Rebecca runs her own cosmetic company called NYX Professional Makeup.
Rebecca is an American national who was born and brought up in the USA. She made an appearance on ‘The Weekly Scraps’ podcast show where she spoke about her struggles after contracting Covid. She fell seriously ill when the outbreak was at its peak in the USA, and dealt with shortness of breath as well as struggling to taste food.
She ended up staying with Sterling during the period to avoid affecting her older family members. Aljamain did not speak about her girlfriend’s battle publicly because he respected her privacy and felt like it was her story to tell.
The pair celebrate their anniversary on 2nd January every year.
