Bryce Callahan, a cornerback who plays for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League, is an American football player (NFL). Before signing a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears in 2015, he was a member of the Rice University football team and participated in college football. When Callahan was a student at Cypress Woods High School, he was on the football team.

Callahan joined the Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2015. He debuted against the Packers on September 13. The bears waived Callahan on September 22. The Bears re-signed Callahan to the practice squad on September 24. He was activated on October 20.

Callahan deflected his first pass against the Chargers on November 9. Callahan got his first sack against the Lions on Jan. 3, 2016.   His debut season had 21 tackles, four pass breakups, and a sack in three starts. He returned a 34-yard punt. 

Callahan started as the slot cornerback in his second season. Callahan deflected a touchdown throw from Carson Wentz to Brent Celek in Week 2 against the Eagles. On October 9, he recorded six tackles against the Indianapolis Colts but left early with a hamstring injury.   Callahan intercepted two passes against the Lions on December 11.   Second season: 10 starts, 32 tackles, 5 pass breakups. His kicks and punts totaled 20 yards.

Callahan re-signed with the Bears on March 6 and was named starting slot cornerback. On September 24, he sacked Ben Roethlisberger and forced his first career fumble. Callahan returned Joe Flacco’s first interception 52 yards on Oct. 15.

On December 24, he intercepted Cleveland Browns quarterback DeShone Kizer. In the season finale against the Vikings, Callahan returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown. Third season: 6 starts, 25 tackles, 6 pass deflections, 2 interceptions, 1 sack.

Bears offered Callahan the first refusal on March 12. He signed a $1.3 million deal on April 17. Kyle Fuller and Prince Amukamara are ahead of Callahan on the Bears’ depth chart.

On September 23, Callahan intercepted Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen to secure a 16–14 win. Callahan recorded 4 tackles, deflected 3 passes, and sacked Sam Darnold on Oct. 28. Callahan recorded 5 tackles, and sacked and intercepted Matthew Stafford in Week 10 against the Lions. In Week 14, he broke his foot and was placed on injured reserve. Callahan has 45 tackles, 6 pass deflections, and 2 interceptions. Pro Football Focus graded him 7th overall among cornerbacks in 2018 and 3rd among slot cornerbacks. 

On March 15, 2019, Callahan signed a three-year, $21 million contract with the Denver Broncos, reuniting him with Vic Fangio. He started training camp as the Broncos’ right cornerback opposite Chris Harris Jr. Callahan also starts in sub-packages.   He was rehabilitating from a foot ailment from last season. Callahan had foot surgery after the 2018 season. His screw-in foot never entirely healed, causing difficulties. On November 15, 2019, he was placed on injured reserve without playing for the rest of the year. 

Callahan started training camp opposite A.J. Bouye and Michael Ojemudia. He made his Broncos debut in Week 1 of the 2020 season against the Titans on Monday Night Football. In the 16–14 loss, Callahan made 8 tackles. Callahan intercepted Cam Newton’s pass in Week 6 against the Patriots in an 18–12 win.   Callahan intercepted Justin Herbert’s ball in Week 8 against the Chargers.   On December 2, 2020, he was injured reserve. 

Callahan was set to start at slot cornerback in 2021 despite the Broncos signing Kyle Fuller and Ronald Darby in free agency and drafting Patrick Surtain II in the first round. Vic Fangio kept Callahan as the starting slot cornerback after the preseason.

Callahan joined the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022.
