WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio reveals that he had no idea about being the 2K22 cover star at first
Former World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio recently became the cover star for WWE’s new console video game WWE 2K22. He has been a top superstar for a very long time, and it is richly deserved from the master of 619’s point of view.
Earlier this year, Rey Mysterio was the cover star for the WWE 2K22 video game, which got a mixed reception from the fans but was eventually accepted with time.
Mysterio recently spoke to Complex, where he talked about how he came to know about being the cover star for the WWE 2K22 video game. He also said that he never knew that he would become the game’s cover. However, Rey was later told about being on the surface, which amused him thoroughly.
“So WWE first approached me in regards to doing some promotional work for the game. And I guess I didn’t understand it right off the bat? But I swear they didn’t tell me that I was going to be on the cover of the game or that it was going to be based around me.
But slowly, as I was shooting and doing promotions, the bomb just hit,” said Rey Mysterio, “and they were like, “You know, this is based on you. You are the cover of the game this year.” I was like, “Oh, no way. Damn, that’s cool. That’s dope.”
The showcase mode of the game focuses on key matches from Rey’s career and allows fans to experience them for the first time.
WWE 2K22’s first ratings are out on Metacritic
The game got released on March 8, and its Metacritic ratings are finally out. It has made a massive leap of improvements from its last WWE 2K20.
The game has got a user score of 8.3 on Metacritic and a Metascore of 77. The reviews are out, and people tend to like it, mainly because the new modes and graphics have been a hit for the game.
