Boogs came out as the guitarist playing Nakamura and has accompanied the Japanese star since making his debut on SmackDown on 21 May, 2021. Since then his entrances to the ring have been the same.

He then made his in-ring debut on the 20th of August alongside Nakamura. He teamed up with the Japanese star on SmackDown that night, earning a win over Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez.

A fortnight later, Boogs, accompanied by Nakamura, absolutely starched Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown. He made light work of the WWE veteran in a singles match victory.
