Predicted Manchester City XI to face Huddersfield Town in the Premier League
Manchester City claimed all three points and kept up the pressure on leaders Liverpool with a resounding 3-0 win over Wolves on Monday night, thanks to a brace from Gabriel Jesus.
The Citizens will once again be the favourites to bag maximum returns when they make the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium to face Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Languishing at the bottom of the Premier League standings, Huddersfield Town currently face a tumultuous situation, with Mark Hudson being named as the caretaker manager following David Wagner’s resignation from the helm of affairs.
Man City absolutely destroyed their opponents 6-1 in the reverse fixture and the fans have every reason to expect a similar feat on Saturday.
Team News
Benjamin Mendy is still on the treatment table to nurse his knee injury while Vincent Kompany is struggling with a muscular injury and is doubtful to play a part. Claudio Bravo is a long-term absentee for City with an Achilles tendon injury.
Formation: 4-3-3
Manager: Pep Guardiola
Predicted XI
1. Ederson Moraes (GK)
The Brazilian had very little to do in the 3-0 victory over Wolves and showed some impressive play in the midfield.
2. Kyle Walker (RB)
The Englishman returned to the eleven with a solid performance at the back and Guardiola should hand him another start to allow him to grow in confidence.
3. John Stones (CB)
He didn’t have much defensive work to do in the last game and should be amongst the starters for this one as well.
4. Aymeric Laporte (CB)
The Frenchman has been one of the first names on Guardiola’s team sheet this season and has impressed with his consistently solid displays at the back.
5. Danilo (LB)
The Brazilian did a decent job in an unfamiliar position on the left-hand side of the backline in the last game.
6. Fernandinho (CM)
The Brazilian controlled the proceedings in the midfield last week with his experience and intelligence and has always been a key figure for the Citizens.
7. David Silva (LAM)
The Spaniard set a new record for the club’s Premier League appearances and there is hardly anyone who can replace him in the line-up.
8. Kevin de Bruyne (RAM)
Bernardo had a good game against Wolves but Guardiola might rotate his squad and hand the Belgian a start for this one.
9. Riyad Mahrez (RW)
The Algerian was an unused substitute in the last game but he might get a chance to start this week on the basis of a rotation policy.

10. Leroy Sane (LW)
The German has once again racked up the goals and assists for his team this season, adding that impetus and creative spark to the attack with his pace and guile.
11. Gabriel Jesus (ST)
The Brazilian has enjoyed an upturn of form, scoring 7 goals in his last 3 games and Guardiola might be forced to hand him a start ahead of Aguero.
