WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns beats CM Punk to become the most searched Wrestler in google 2021
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has topped the list of the most searched active wrestling stars for 2021. He has topped the list both Worldwide and in the United States.
The Tribal Chief has not lost a single PPV match and has beaten CM Punk, who made his comeback to wrestling with AEW after a long gap of 8 years and besides that, he has put down some of the biggest names like Edge, Rey Mysterio and Brock Lesnar.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics has revealed the stats list the top 20 most searched wrestling stars for 2021 between January and November.
“Among wrestling personalities who were active in wrestling programming (so excluding people like Cena, Rock, Hogan, Flair, Austin, etc.) for much of 2021, the most-searched-for person based on Google Trends data Jan-Nov was Roman Reigns.”
Randy Orton was the second most searched wrestling star worldwide, and AEW’s CM Punk grabbed the second most searched star in the US.
Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks bagged 3rd sport in US search list.
It is fascinating to see from the US list that Charlotte Flair, the SmackDown Women’s Champion, finished lower than her counterpart Alexa Bliss, whom she defeated at Extreme Rules.
Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch finishes in the top 10. WWE Veteran Rey Mysterio still makes it to the top with all the heroics as a tag team with his son Dominic. It was surprising that Edge was not on the list even after having fantastic bouts with Seth Rollins.
The Est of WWE Bianca Belair finishes the US list at the #20 position. Other AEW stars on the list were Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson, who also made his debut for AEW in 2021.
