Rota Ooh is a shrine located in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The challenge that awaits you inside is the Passing of the Gates Trial which is a puzzle in which you have to get an orb into the socket on the other side. Where to find Rota Ooh Shrine
Rota Ooh Shrine is located in the central region that is present in the southwest part of the area. To reach there you can paraglide till thereby heading northwest from the west corner of the Great Plateau.
Go southwest from the Central Tower going through the Outskirt Stable. The shrine is located to the east of it, hidden behind a small area of terrain. Here there is no puzzle for you to solve so you can simply enter the shrine when you are ready.
Rota Ooh Shrine Puzzle
Once you enter the shrine you will come across a large wall that has several sections to it. The section consists of a central door, and a railing on either side over the passage of water, with a crystal to the far right.
As mentioned above the challenge is to get an orb, put it in the cradle to the right by the crystal, and bring the orb to the other side where the socket is located.
Hit the crystal with a weapon and it will spin the central structure. Upon spinning you will be revealed to two things an orb in the center, that you have to pick up and carry back to the entrance side of the structure.
This covers the first part of the puzzle. Now in the second part of the puzzle, you have to look for a chest that contains a key that you can use to open the central door of the shrine. Now shoot the crystal again this would turn the structure back to its starting position. You can now put the orb in the basket-cradle thing.
Come back to the place where you started and use this key to unlock the door.
Shoot the crystals again and it will bring the ball out of the cage into the socket present on the other side. This would launch a pad where the orb first appeared. With the door open you can hop on the launch and you will begin to fly in the air and you can now paraglide above the central structure.
Paragliding over the wall to open a chest for a feathered Edge Sword, you will discover that the exit is blocked. So to overcome this head back to the starting point on the launch pad and do this entire procedure again.
For the final step, you need to take out your bow mid-air and shoot the crystal one final time. This will turn the structure again and would clear your exit path. Take the stairs to exit and you are clear to go.
