Predicted Bournemouth XI to face Wolves in the Premier League

Bournemouth suffered a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool last week in the Premier League and the Cherries will be looking to get back to winning ways when they make the trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Eddie Howe’s men have managed only a solitary win from their last six outings in the Premier League and the Cherries will be desperate to get a positive result from this game.

Wolves have won their last two games against Chelsea and Newcastle and Nuno Santo’s men will fancy their chances of making it three out of three this weekend.

Team News

Adam Smith is ruled out with a cartilage tear in his knee while Dan Gosling and Lewis Cook are also sidelined with knee injuries. Callum Wilson missed the last game against Liverpool but he will be pushing for a return this weekend.

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Eddie Howe

Predicted XI

1. Asmir Begovic (GK)

He wasn’t at the top of his game against Liverpool but has otherwise been a reliable presence between the sticks this season.

2. Simon Francis (RB)

He found it difficult to deal with the pace of Liverpool’s attackers last week and will be expected to put in an improved shift this weekend.

3. Nathan Ake (CB)

The Dutchman was the pick of the backline in that 4-0  demolition at the hands of Liverpool and has been one of the standout performers for the Cherries this season.

4. Steve Cook (CB)

The Englishman made some bizarre errors against Liverpool and scored an own goal but he has otherwise been a solid presence at the heart of the defence.

5. Charlie Daniels (LB)

The veteran has done a decent job in recent weeks and should be amongst the starters for this one as well.

6. Jefferson Lerma (CDM)

The Colombian international has justified his huge price tag with some consistently impressive displays this season and he will have his work cut out against Ruben Neves on Saturday.

7. Andrew Surman (CDM)

He hasn’t been particularly impressive but injuries to Cook and Gosling should open the door for him to start.

8. David Brooks (RM)

The youngster has been one of the revelations of the season and Bournemouth will need him to rise to the occasion after a lacklustre display last week.

9. Junior Stanislas (LM)

He has been a lively presence down the flanks and has shown a lot of energy in the last few games.

10. Ryan Fraser (ST)

Bournemouth’s assist king will have to continue in a more advanced role if Callum Wilson doesn’t make it to the XI.

11. Joshua King (ST)

He didn’t have much of an impact against Liverpool but Bournemouth will need him to fire on all cylinders if they are to get a positive result on Saturday.
