Khabib Nurmagomedov does not have an easy task ahead of him in his next fight against Tony Ferguson.
The UFC Lightweight champion defends his title against the 35-year-old American, who only has three losses to his name.
Nurmagomedov, for his part, is yet to taste defeat in his MMA career and last beat Dustin Poirier to keep hold of his title.
The Russian’s biggest win came in the fight previous to that as he beat Conor McGregor at UFC 229.
Beating McGregor could have made Khabib a little complacent but the Russian isn’t taking Ferguson lightly.
The champion posted a video of him working hard ahead of his return to the Octagon and shared another picture of him preparing for the match.
Khabib posted a few words as part of the caption which read: “Same goal, nothing change.”
Many have spoken about a rematch between Khabib and McGregor next after the Russian defeats Ferguson.
However, some former UFC stars, such as Brendan Schaub, have claimed that Nurmagomedov cannot take Ferguson lightly.
The challenger also posted a clipping of Dana White wanting the Khabib-McGregor fight, but the 35-year-old is ready to face the Lightweight champion.
Khabib has 28 consecutive wins to his name but Ferguson has won his last 12 fights, which is a record in the Lightweight division.
