The former Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn tweeted his reaction 10 days post his loss to Jackass star Johnny Knoxville at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Sami Zayn‘s rivalry with Johnny Knoxville was built up over a decent amount of time heading into their “Anything goes” match at WrestleMania 38. During the feud, Knoxville even revealed Zayn’s mobile number.
During their match at WrestleMania, other members of the Jackass cast, Wee Man and Party Boy got involved too. Wee Man, in fact, bodyslammed the Great Liberator during the match.
The match ended when Zayn was caught in a giant mousetrap and Knoxville covered him for a three count.
A disappointed Zayn wrote on Twitter that he isn’t well. He admitted that Knoxville had ruined all the hard work he had put in throughout his career in one night.
He warned Knoxville that he should sleep with one eye open as “SAMI NEVER FORGETS.”
Sami Zayn’s current feud
The 37-year-old Sami Zayn might not have forgotten what happened to him on Night 2 of WrestleMania 38 but he has begun a new feud with a former two-time WWE Champion.
Sami Zayn went up to Adam Pearce on the SmackDown after WrestleMania. He said he will earn back the respect after facing a devastating loss to Knoxville at WrestleMania. Zayn said he will take on the next man to step out of the locker room. Much to his dismay, the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre was the one to step out as the two faced each other later on in the night.
Sami reluctantly started the match but he left it midway to hand McIntyre a count out victory. He repeated the same thing this week on SmackDown as McIntyre won against him two weeks in a row via count out. Zayn will face his new nemesis next week on SmackDown in a Lumberjack match.
