Sasha Banks, real name Mercedes Justine Kaestner-Varnado, is one of the biggest female stars in the history of WWE.
Although she is yet to hit 30, The Boss has achieved nearly every accolade there is in the promotion.
Banks is considered one of the women who have transformed the wrestling scene for females. She is part of the Four Horsewomen in wrestling and started the women’s revolution in WWE.
The Boss still has a ton of years left in the wrestling world and is related to some of the biggest musicians in the world too.
Sasha Banks is known for her violet/purple hair while coming up on NXT, but now she flaunts a blue hair colour, which is one of the most striking aspects of her WWE character.
Banks also set the media world on fire as she appeared in season two of the Disney+ hit, the Mandalorian as Koska Reeves. And Recently, she has confirmed that she won’t be making any more special appearances in the Star wars themed TV show.

Sasha Banks Early career
Sasha Banks started her wrestling career by training at Chaotic Wrestling back in 2008. She used the name Mercedes KV and made her in-ring debut in 2010.
She picked up the women’s title at Chaotic Wrestling but had to relinquish it after WWE signed her.
Banks also spent some time at New England Championship Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance in between 2010 and 2012.
Sasha Banks WWE career
After signing for WWE, Sasha Banks formed a tag team with Summer Rae and formed the Beautiful Fierce Females (BFFs).
While Banks did win the NXT Women’s singles title, she lost to Bayley in an Iron-woman match on NXT, the first time this was played out in WWE.
Banks then moved to Raw as Stephanie McMahon brought on a lot of NXT talent as part of the revolution.
The Boss sided with Naomi and Tamina to former Team BAD. She captured the Raw Women’s title during her time in the promotion but lost it several times too.
Banks and Bayley then formed a team for a couple of years but went missing after WrestleMania 35. Many believed she had quit the company, but after months, she brought up new hair colour and attacked Natalya, suggesting she was a heel.
Banks and Bayley then recaptured the tag team titles while she became the Raw Women’s champion again. Bayley held the SmackDown Women’s title, but the pair broke up in September 2020.
Bayley attacked Banks and sent her to the hospital. All this happened after the pair lost their tag titles and Banks lost her Raw title to Asuka.
She then returned to action and won the SmackDown Women’s title from Bayley and has been incredible.
After that, things haven’t gone too well for Sasha Banks as she, her close friend, and partner Naomi haven’t appeared on WWE TV since May 16th 2022, as the management has decided the suspend the pair over a suspected row over the creative decisions.
Sasha Banks Family and relationships
Sasha Banks has an autistic brother and was born in Fairfield, California. Sasha Banks is married to a former wrestler, Sarath Ton, AKA Kid Mikaze, who now works as a costume designer for WWE.
The pair have been photographed several times though Banks and Ton haven’t been seen together in WWE much over the years.
Sasha Banks is the first cousin to several musicians such as Snoop Dogg, Ray J and Brandy Norwood.
She is also a cousin of music producer Daz Dillinger and has used Dogg in helping her create The Boss character as well as her entrance themes in WWE.
