Sasha Banks took the WWE Raw Women’s title away from Asuka but isn’t the current champion

This week’s WWE Raw will solve the big issue of who is the women’s champion. Asuka held the belt before taking on Sasha Banks at Extreme Rules.

However, the ending of the clash was weird with Bayley acting as the referee and counting her best friend Sasha Banks as the winner.

Bayley and Sasha Banks on SmackDown (WWE)

The real referee was hit by the green mist by Asuka and was unable to do his job. Bayley and Banks stole the belts and have kept them but Asuka vs Banks for the title is set for Monday.

Bayley and Banks have continued calling themselves as champions as both have two belts now. They appeared on SmackDown this week too and called themselves as double champions.

Banks, however, took the rivalry with Asuka online as she hit out at the Japanese star and former champion Becky Lynch too.

Asuka had won the Money in the Bank match and was handed the title by Lynch. The Man confirmed she was taking a break from WWE to start a family, and Banks claimed that getting a title handed doesn’t make a champion:

She, as usual, also thanked Vince McMahon and also hit out at Lynch on her Instagram post.

Bayley and Banks to remain champions?

While Banks can win the title on Monday and stop questions about her not being the true champ, Bayley also has a tough clash on her hands.

Nikki Cross got the better of Alexa Bliss on SmackDown (WWE)

This week’s SmackDown saw Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross battle for a shot at Bayley. The Golden Role Models were able to turn Cross and her best friend Bliss against each other, and it will be interesting to see how Cross vs Bayley takes place next week.

Cross was robbed of the title at Extreme Rules as Bayley used Banks’ ring to knockout her rival. However, Cross looked great in this clash and got the win even while nursing injured ribs.
