Scottie Pippen played four years of college basketball for the University of Central Arkansas before moving into NBA. He soon made a mark and even played the NBA Playoffs in his rookie year. He also reached the Eastern Conference Finals in 1989 and 1990 but lost to the Detroit Pistons both times.
Along with Michael Jordan, Pippen won three back-to-back NBA Championship from 1991 to 1993. This was Chicago Bulls and Pippen’s first three-peat.
In the 1995-1996 season, Chicago Bulls had the deadly trio of Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan, and Dennis Rodman. These three won another three back-to-back NBA Championship from 1996 to 1998, completing their second three-peat.
After eleven seasons with the Chicago Bulls, Pippen was traded to the Houston Rockets in 1998. With the Rockets, Pippen went to the 1999 Playoffs but was defeated in the first round by the Los Angeles Lakers.
For the 1999-2000 season, Pippen was traded to the Portland Trailblazers. He played for the Blazers till the 2002-2003 season. He made the playoffs all the seasons but was defeated every time in the first round.
For the 2003-2004 season, Pippen returned to the Chicago Bulls. He played the final game of his NBA career against the Seattle SuperSonics on February 2, 2004. On October 5, 2004, Pippen announced his retirement from the NBA.
