Seth Rollins wanted to fight CM Punk after the former champion’s WWE return
CM Punk made a return to Fox’s WWE Backstage after making a shock appearance last time around.
The former WWE star is set to be part of Backstage after signing a deal with Fox.
His return to WWE could be some way off given his lack of wrestling over the years, but Punk is still one of the best to have graced the business.
Former WWE Universal champion Seth Rollins was one of the first wrestlers to call Punk out for a fight.
The Architect lost the title to The Fiend Bray Wyatt at Crown Jewel and will be in action at Survivor Series.
Rollins is the captain of the Raw 5-man side for the traditional Survivor Series match and there is an added twist to it.
NXT will also be involved at Survivor Series and some of the matches will be triple threat in nature with SmackDown playing their role.
Punk wants Rollins to stop tweeting
Punk was speaking on Backstage to Renee Young and the former Raw commentator shared a series of tweets.
Rollins and Punk have been involved in a war of words on Twitter. The Backstage star told The Architect that he needs to stop tweeting and stop talking too.
However, Rollins wasn’t going to take this down lightly and tweeted his response to the clip.
The former champion called Punk a “coward” and even questioned the response put up.
Punk didn’t beat around the bush during his time on Backstage and called out some segments of that WWE have built up over the past few weeks.
What next for the pair?
It will be interesting to see how this goes for the upcoming weeks. Survivor Series is on Sunday and Rollins could be up for a new storyline.
The Universal title match is between Wyatt and Daniel Bryan. Rey Mysterio will try to land the WWE title from Brock Lesnar.
There will be some big matches at Survivor Series thanks to NXT and invasions could take place too.
Rollins has been attacked by The Undisputed Era with Triple H watching from ring side. NXT are yet to name their side for the triple threat match, and it will be interesting to see who they pick.
