Shadow and Bone Season 3 Release Date and Cast

Shadow and Bone fans are eagerly awaiting season 3 of the Netflix show Shadow and Bone, based on Leigh Bardugo’s books, which follows orphan mapmaker Alina Starkov as she battles an ancient evil to protect Ravka from being consumed by it.

A third season is likely, although its release could take time due to production delays caused by pandemic concerns.

Heisserer has also confirmed a Six of Crows spinoff. However, any details will remain secret until its official approval. Regardless, Heisserer and his cast are excited to work on it again.

Shadow and Bone has reached its conclusion, yet there’s much left for viewers to discover in its third season. Showrunner Eric Heisserer recently teased a potential Six of Crows spinoff, suggesting there is plenty of potential growth within this series.

Shadow and Bone will return for season 3, however, the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike could cause filming delays. Should production resume, fans could look forward to new episodes arriving sometime between 2025-2026.

Danielle Galligan

Danielle Galligan landed the lead role of Nina Zenik in Netflix’s Shadow and Bone adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse novels with great fanfare; yet she seems excited and happy to be part of it all – particularly due to its immense popularity. Fans seem particularly fond of her natural enemies-to-lovers chemistry with co-star Calahan Skogman.

Jessie Mei Li, Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young and Danielle Galligan will likely all return for season 3 of the show; additional actors introduced in season 2, such as Patrick Gibson, Jack Wolfe Lewis Tan and Anna Leong Brophy are likely as well. It remains uncertain how the WGA strike may impede future plans for another season of this popular comedy show.

Zoe Wanamaker

Zoe Wanamaker has become a fan favorite with audiences for her roles on Killing Eve and Girlfriends but has also graced British television screens in Britannia as Queen Antedia. On Shadow and Bone, she plays Helen Jacobson – an unflappable senior British intelligence official who works alongside Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Li).
