Shane McMahon began working in WWE at the age of just 15 by filing merchandising orders. He started his career in the ring as a referee, then as a producer, announcer, and then became a wrestle. Shane is the Executive Vice President of Global Media.

Shane returned to WWE after a long seven-year gap interrupting his sister Stephanie McMahon. He wanted to control Raw, which led to Shane being put in a Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 with the stipulation that if he won, he would be able to control Raw, but unfortunately, he lost the game.
But at WWE payback, Vince announced that both Shane and Stephanie would be the Co-general managers and have joint control of WWE.
At the Crown Jewel event, The Miz was replaced by Shane after the latter was injured in the finals of the WWE World Cup. He defeated Dolph Ziggler in the finals in under three minutes and won the World Cup.
Shane and Braun Strowman faced each other in a Steel Cage match at WrestleMania 37, in which he was defeated.
Shane McMahon returned at the 2022 Royal Rumble, which was deemed a failure. Shane had produced the match and reportedly Vince McMahon was extremely frustrated with his actions.
