Shaquille O’Neal is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever step on a basketball court, as well as one of the greatest centers of all time. Even after hanging up his boots in 2011, Shaq still continues to be relevant in the game – he is a commentator, an analyst, has his own podcast on basketball and as it turns out, is reportedly interested in buying an NBA franchise as well.

The NBA Hall of Famer – who is also a famous entrepreneur with a net worth of $400million – was linked with buying Robert Sarver’s share of the Suns franchise after Sarver was suspended for allegations of misogyny and racism, but has seen his name go up against none other than the Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in the list for people interested in buying Sarver’s stake at the Suns.

While Shaq might have had a real interest in the Suns before Bezos’ name popped up, finding the second richest man in the world as his potential competition has reportedly put Shaq off his quest to buy the franchise – as confirmed by none other than Shaq himself.

“Nobody on this planet can compete with Big Man JB,” O’Neal told TMZ. “Because you know what? I just ordered 50 things off Amazon today. Big Man JB got that money coming in.” However, Shaq would not mind joining forces with Bezos if required.

“If he wants me on board, I would gladly like to talk to him,” O’Neal said. “But as far as trying to own a whole team by myself and go up against — let me tell you something, I’m scared of Big Man JB. Shaq O’Neal is scared of Big Man JB.”
