Shawn Michaels is set to name the five-man squad for NXT’s Survivor Series 2019 clash
Shawn Michaels made a return to SmackDown as part of an NXT invasion and he is set to have a big role in the Survivor Series 2019 kickoff show.
The ‘Heartbreak Kid’, and his DX buddies Triple H and Road Dogg, had a blast on the go home edition of SmackDown.
They even had time to first offer Baron Corbin a chance of joining the iconic faction but then beat the stuffing out of the star.
NXT have been the surprise inclusion into this year’s Survivor Series, and some of the matches are triple threat in nature.
We have a few title matches which feature champions from all three brands, but the draw is the 5-on-5 triple threat match between the men and women.
SmackDown and Raw have named their teams for the two matches, however, NXT are yet to do so for the men.
WWE confirmed that Michaels would name the five-member male team for NXT during the Survivor Series kickoff show.
Rhea Ripley and The Game announced the five-member team for the women’s team. The squad features Ripley with Candice LeRae, Io Shirai, Toni Storm and Bianca Belair.
It will be interesting to see which stars Michaels names for the 5-on-5 match. Most of the top stars from the brand were in action during WarGames, and some might still be feeling the effects of the TakeOver PPV.
SmackDown and Raw have a stacked team
NXT should call out their heavy hitters and it is unlikely that Adam Cole will be in the team.
The NXT champion faces Pete Dunne for the title at Survivor Series and was in action during WarGames too.
Raw’s team is being led by Seth Rollins and features Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens and Ricochet.
The SmackDown team is being led by Roman Reigns and includes Braun Strowman, Mustafa Ali, Shorty G and Baron Corbin.
Owens was a surprise entry into the WarGames special as he fought alongside Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic.
The quartet defeated the Undisputed Era in a crazy match, and there should be more craziness at Survivor Series too.
This is set to be one of the best PPVs of the year thanks to the inclusion of NXT. Hopefully, it won’t disappoint like some of the other specials have.
