The next Pokemon Go Community Day Event is all set to unveil Chespin on January 7, 2023. Find out how you can catch a shiny Chespin and get bonus rewards in Pokemon GO!
Pokemon GO trainers have been getting a few hints about what the new year holds for them. The Community Event will run for three hours starting from 2 pm to 5 pm in your local time. This event will give the trainers a chance to go catch a special pocket monster highlighted for the day. This event day will also give the trainers exclusive access to bonuses, special research, and more. Pokemon Go Trainers will even have a chance to catch a Shiny Chespin!
December Community 2022 was held the past week giving a recap of the previous Community Days of 2021 and 2022. If you were updated with the game you would be already aware of the GO Tour: Hoenn, which features Primal Reversions. The developers of the game revealed the special pocket monster.
One of the featured Pokemon of the Community Day Event is the Spiny Nut Pokemon. Given its presence in the game for many years now, this year it will have a high spawn rate. The official handle of POKEMON GO has teased the first look of Chespin on Twitter. Check out the post below.
It has also been announced by Niantic that the shiny variant of Chespin will be the first Pokemon to be spotted in the Community Day event if only the lucky ones can find it. The shiny nut pokemon, Chespin, will be debuting in the game and will evolve to become Quiladin, followed by its further evolution to Chesnaught. However, this evolution of Chespin would only occur during the event and will last up to 5 hours after the event. If the trainers are able to evolve Chespin into Chesnaught, they will get a version of the evolved Chespin that knows all the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant.
Frenzy Plant holds 100 power boosts for Trainer Battles in the game, Gyms, and raids in the game. Upon Evolving your Chespin, Trainers will also unlock the Community Day Special Research story called “Quality Quills. This can be accessed simply by buying the required ticket from the in-game shop for US $1.00.
**Note that these bonuses will only be active during the three active hours of the event and is not permanent.
Battles for the Four-Star Raid will feature Quilladin. If players defeat the raid boss, Chespin will appear near that specific gym for 30 minutes. Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes are required for participation in the raids. These raids cannot be accessed using the Remote Raid passes.
You will also get access to event-themed stickers by engaging with PokeStops and Gifts and purchasing products from the in-game store.
