WWE Superstar Shotzi Blackheart’s injury update following an awkward bump at Money in the Bank
Former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Shotzi Blackheart suffered a horrific bloody injury at the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
The match saw top stars of RAW and SmackDown compete for a shot at the briefcase Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez, Lacey Evans, and Alexa Bliss. Shotzi were the superstars fighting for the prize.
During the match, the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion looked to hit a senton bomb on Becky Lynch but instead took a bump to the back of her neck.
Blackheart landed on the back of her neck and was cleaned open, which later became quite evident when the camera caught the star in the corner covered in blood. Unfortunately, it seems like the move was missed entirely, and the back of her head and neck instead hit the ladder, and her landing was impacted the most.
Shotzi continued the match despite the injury, but towards the end, she appeared to have suffered a concussion. However, WWE is yet to reveal the extent of Shotzi’s injuries.
Liv Morgan wins the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion
Former WWE RAW Women’s Champion walked out as Miss Money in the Bank for the first time even though Shotzi put her blood and sweat into the match.
Ronda Rousey retained her title after the hard-fitting match against Natalya, which saw the challenge go after the former UFC star’s leg. However, Morgan eventually came running following her win in the Money in the Bank and took advantage of the champion’s bad leg.
After the bell rang, Rousey locked her in the Ankle lock, but Liv Morgan got out of it, kicked her in the knee, and rolled her up for the win. The fans roar at the MGM Garden Grand Arena in Las Vegas as the new SmackDown Women’s Champion was found.
