Predicted Everton XI to face Watford in the Premier League
Everton played out a rather stale 1-1 draw against Newcastle United at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
Marco Silva’s men sit 6th in the standings with 23 points from 15 games and they will be desperate to claim all three points when they play host to Watford on Monday next week.
Watford put up a spirited display against Manchester City but that wasn’t enough to prevent them from going down 2-1 and Javi Gracia’s men will face another tough test when they play Everton.
Team News
Morgan Schniederlin is struggling with a lower leg injury while James McCarthy is yet to regain match fitness following his recovery from a long-term injury. Apart from that, Marco Silva will have the entire squad of players at his disposal for selection on Monday.
Manager: Marco Silva
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted XI
1. Jordan Pickford (GK)
The Englishman has always been a reliable presence between the sticks and will be expected to retain his position for this one.
2. Seamus Coleman (RB)
His defensive error cost Everton two points against Newcastle and he will need to improve significantly on Monday.
3. Yerry Mina (CB)
The Colombian put in a solid shift at the heart of the defence and looked comfortable with the ball at his feet.
4. Kurt Zouma (CB)
The Chelsea loanee looked quite assured at the back against Newcastle and Silva should hand him another start in the next game.
5. Lucas Digne (LB)
The Frenchman has contributed equally to both attack and defence this season.
6. Idrissa Gana Gueye (CDM)
He broke up the play against Newcastle with some crucial tackles and interceptions and has been a key figure for the Toffees in the midfield this season.
7. Andre Gomes (CDM)
The Portuguese international continued his fine run of form against Newcastle and looked head and shoulders above all the players on the pitch.
8. Theo Walcott (RW)
Ademola Lookman had a decent game on the right against Newcastle but Silva should field Walcott for the next one.
9. Bernard (LW)
He was rested for the mid-week clash but will be expected to return to the line-up against Watford on Monday.
10. Gylfi Sigurdsson (CAM)
He is one of the key components of Everton’s attack and the Toffees will need him to be at the top of his game against Watford.

11. Richarlison (ST)
The talismanic Brazilian played on the left against Newcastle and got himself a goal but he will be expected to spearhead the attack next week as Cenk Tosun didn’t do much in that role.
