Several references were made about Cody Rhodes on Raw this week
This week’s Monday Night Raw saw WWE make several references to Cody Rhodes. There have been many speculations going on since the time Rhodes has made his departure from AEW. However, for the time being, WWE is the biggest rumoured destination.
Rhodes has not shown up on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. His WWE status has also been kept relatively secret. But this week, after Seth Rollins lost to Kevin Owens on Raw, Corey Graves dropped hints about Cody Rhodes.
Graves mentioned how WrestleMania’s hopes had been “dashed” and “his dream has become a nightmare” These are all the obvious references to Rhodes, who is also known as “The American Nightmare.”
WWE is determined to have Cody Rhodes make Seth Rollins’ opponent
Seth “Freakin” Rollins still doesn’t have an opponent for WrestleMania 38, but by the looks of it, WWE might be thinking of making Cody Rhodes face Rollins. It is still a big question if Rhodes will show up in WWE during WrestleMania 38 or not.
It was earlier reported by Ringside News that the writing team was not talking about Rhodes. His name was on the WrestleMania board and said as Rollins’ opponent, but that was pulled off. However, as of now, the word is that the match is back on, but everything is kept under secret.
The Creative team has already told that,
“Cody will do what Cody chooses is best for his family. We hope he’s happy in whatever he does, wherever he lands.”
The tenured member of the WWE also mentioned the following,
“he’s not being discussed with the writing team.” “whatever his deal is, it’s being kept ‘up above and secret’ for now.”
