Predicted Bournemouth XI to face Liverpool in the Premier League

Bournemouth ended their four-game losing streak in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday, thanks to goals from Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser.

The Cherries moved up to 6th in the standings but they will be up against it when they play host to Liverpool on Saturday.

Eddie Howe’s men have exceeded expectations in the Premier League this season but they have lost out to the big teams in their previous outings and the Cherries will need to come up with something really special to halt Liverpool’s juggernaut.

Team News

Adam Smith is ruled out for at least three months with an knee injury while Dan Gosling is also unlikely to feature this weekend as he continues to be on the treatment table to nurse his knee injury. Apart from that, Eddie Howe will have the entire squad of players at his disposal for selection.

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Eddie Howe

Predicted XI

1. Asmir Begovic (GK)

He made a good low save to deny Aaron Mooy in the last game and has always been a reliable presence between the sticks.

2. Simon Francis (RB)

He won a few aerial duels in the last game and put in a solid performance.

3. Nathan Ake (CB)

The Dutchman has been one of the cornerstones of Bournemouth’s successful season so far and once again played an important role in their win against Huddersfield.

4. Steve Cook (CB)

He has been in impressive form this season and has put in multiple solid shifts at the back alongside Ake.

5. Charlie Daniels (LB)

The veteran put up a decent display in the last game and he will be expected to keep up his good work.

6. Jefferson Lerma (CDM)

The Colombian has been a key figure for the Cherries in the midfield this season and should start this weekend.

7. Lewis Cook (CDM)

The youngster has been decent this season but hasn’t quite hit top gear and he will be expected to improve.

8. Junior Stanislas (RM)

David Brooks had a fairly quiet game on Tuesday and that should prompt Howe to field Stanislas in the XI as he has been in good touch in recent weeks.

9. Ryan Fraser (LM)

He registered his 7th assist of the season against Huddersfield in the last game and he will need to be at the top of his game if Bournemouth are to upset the odds on Saturday.
